How do we select artists or events for our ‘20% for people and the planet’ grant programme?

We actively support all of the following

New independent musicians, bands, events and festivals

If you are a new independent musician, band or event without a significant following on any social media platform and no previous coverage in digital or print media

Mature musicians and bands

We recognise that many older musicians struggle to grow their fanbase or build authentic narratives. In an ageist industry such as this one, ‘older’ can mean anyone over the age of 25! We value the experience that musicians gain over time and will help if we can

Returning musicians and bands

If you are a musician or band trying to carve out a new path after a long absence or after leaving a record label, and If you haven’t achieved significant media coverage in recent years and are attempting to re-launch

Any artists or events that suffer discrimination of any kind

Any artists or events that experience difficulties in the musical space due to any form of discrimination that is making it more difficult for their work to gain attention and reach

Musicians, bands, events and festivals fighting for good causes

We love a good cause

Get in touch; we may be able to help

We carefully consider all applications for our grants and subsidised promotional campaigns. Ultimately, we have to really believe in the band, artist, event, or festival, and we apply the same kind of careful thought to grant and subsidised selection as we do to our regular roster. We only work with things that we are super passionate about, and in that way, we can be authentic when we shout about things. If we don’t select a project, it doesn’t mean that we don’t see that it has a high value, but we also want to fully connect so that we can do justice to everyone’s campaigns.
